“Fat Monkey” is an outdoor art installation by Florentijn Hofman , which was displayed in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The artist explains that the concept is based on Sao Paulo, a location that roars like a beast and is impossible to tame. A place with so many people, so many things to do and very little time. Hofman uses flip flops as an iconic symbol of this country, and also to express the flexibility of the people who live and adapt to an extremely large city.
