Per il momento è ancora un'idea, un'ipotesi di lavoro, un progetto. Ma la multinazionale Puma, convinta che il futuro della moda e dell'abbigliamento tecnico debbano essere «eco-friendly», è pronta a investire per sviluppare capi che non inquinino e che siano facilmente riciclabili. «Presto saremo in grado di creare le prime scarpe, magliette e borse riciclabili o compostabili», racconta Franz Koch, amministratore delegato, in un'intervista al magazine economico Wirtschaftswoche spiegando che l'azienda tedesca intende diventare la prima multinazionale che produce indumenti sportivi completamente biodegradabili.

Inspired by this ancient cradle to cradle design, the 01M OneMoment shoe line was born in Spain this year. 01M is a multi-functional shoe, or rubber sock more like it, made from 100% biodegradable raw materials. I tried it out and the 01M is really quite comfortable although I wouldn't wear it out in the city I guess. I can imagine wearing them at the beach or to do watersports, and find them useful when travelling due to their little weight (the lightest shoe in the world so the company claims) and compactness. In the space of the size of a standard pair of shoes fit over 30 pairs of 01Ms.

The Idea of making a zero-cost lamp had been going aroud in my head for a while. The point is to demonstrate that it is possible to achieve a zero-cost production by using disposable products and products that have been trashed because broken or anyway judjed no more useful. Due to the mass production/consuption mentality there are too many products that have an extremely short life (disposable products) or that are designed following fashion trends, therefore are programmed to became obsolete after a short while, in order to be replaced as soon as the trend changes. The product itself becomes, therefore, useless, but the materials are still there, and they go to increase the amount of garbage we are filling up the world with.
