I was surprised to find that the accent fabric I selected for our living room happens to be one of Calico Corner’s top selling fabrics. I guess I shouldn’t be—it has been popping up everywhere! You may have seen it in decorating catalogs like Ballard Designs, Smith+Noble or Home Decorators Collection. It turns out, Clarice Dove is the perfect fabric for my living room project. I added a set of botanical prints to the room and I have been searching for fabrics and accessories, to finish the look, ever since. Brightly colored daisies in a mason jar. Could it be Monday already? This past weekend seemed to fly by and it was all work and no play for this little lady. I was reminded of how strenuous and overwhelming a move can be but the result is always rewarding when you get to enjoy the new surroundings. Our sweet new home is pure bliss and I haven't been able to wipe the smile from my face I've been so excited.

It's a fact that I'm usually about 10 minutes late wherever I go. Something I've been working on lately and I think I've gotten much better at. But a month late to post? This is ridiculous. Between my trip to High Point Market and now, there has been so much going on that I haven't been able to sit down and focus on selecting all my favorites ... until now!

I am a big, big fan of Jennifer Sarkilahti ...huge even. Her gorgeous jewelry is consistently interesting and unique. (Her arrow ring literally never leaves my right ring finger...it is among my most favorite possessions.) But what I really love is the fact that she works alongside other creative women. I think powerful things happen when artists and designers work alongside each other to make beautiful things, sharing inspirations and ideas. I tend to think all the collaborative, supportive energy happening as they create sort of imbues their end products with a bit of magic...

What are you up to this weekend? We're heading to Austin, YAHOO! It's slated to reach 90 degrees tomorrow, so hopefully we'll get to go swimming here . March 23rd, 2012 Next week I’m taking a long weekend with my Mom and heading to Charleston, SC for my first visit ever! I’ve herd such wonderful things about the southern city and have been itching to see it for myself. Especially after reading this: We’re staying at the Charleston Place hotel and while I tried my darndest to get a rezzie at the much recommended Husk, i was booked even WEEKS ago! I think the last time I was into neon I had a mullet and a collection of Hypercolor t-shirts and Debbie Gibson and Wilson Twins on rotation.
