With Facebook being the largest of the networking sites I wondered what other sites would be useful to consider and this is when I came across pearltrees.com with more than 100,000 unique visitors per month to the site and approaching 10,000,000 page views. Unlike Facebook and other networking sites Pearltrees does not have a running news-feed but operates more as a mind map that people can look into and share with ease. I have been playing around with Pearltrees for a while now and I have found it very intuitive to use, it is very easy to collect information and add it to your own tree. Mathematically speaking, The Internet map is a bi-dimensional presentation of links between websites on the Internet. Every site is a circle on the map, and its size is determined by website traffic, the larger the amount of traffic, the bigger the circle.
