Games - Napoleonic Operations. The objective is to make a fast-played and fundamentally simple campaign system that can be used for most wars of the 1700-1880 period. The system will focus on command and have a distinct "you are here" -feel. The system rules will be a maximum of 16 pages long including examples and notes and a lot of pictures. Nothing is set in stone, yet, but the scale will besomething like 1500 meters per hex and three turns per day (morn, noon, night) with longer campaigns having some kind of method to fast forward past the quiet days.
Units will be divisions and brigades. Combat happens in hex during movement. The ambition for now offer you this small downloadable game so the rules can be tested and mistreated. The system's evolution will depend very much on a design by group-approach that will give those that sign up now a great opportunity to make their mark on the rules, The 6 Days of Glory. On to Paris!

Napoleon at the Crossroads covers the Autumn campaign at a scale which focuses on the strategic issues and emphasizes playability, with several battle scenarios playable in an evening, and full campaign in about 8 hours. At the outset of the Campaign in August the Emperor allowed the Coalition forces to seize the initiative and hold it; he stands accused of not going where the action was, and was repeatedly left flat-footed by the push-and-pull of three Coalition armies charging the center of his position at Dresden, then retiring when Napoleon reacted. Though he won the critical battle at Dresden, his subordinates lost four battles over a 2-week period. When Blücher moved from Silesia to cross the Elbe, a battle in or near Leipzig was certain.
