The Guide to the Systems Engineering Body of Knowledge (SEBoK) was created by the Body of Knowledge and Curriculum to Advance Systems Engineering (BKCASE) project.

SEBoK

BKCASE is overseen by a , consisting of the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE), the Systems Engineering Research Center (SERC), and the IEEE Computer Society. The SEBoK provides a compendium of the of organized and explained to assist a wide variety of users. It is a living product, accepting community input continuously, with regular refreshes and updates. Aeronautics and Astronautics. Fundamentals of Systems Engineering. Procedia Computer Science. Software Cost Estimation Metrics Manual v. 0.75. Course: Systems Engineering. SECOE. System Test. SECOE maintains and updates a list of desired research topics that are of interest to systems engineering.

System Test

The list is reviewed and prioritized by the SECOE leadership. Topics may be suggested for addition or deletion by contacting secoe@incose.org. There are six major areas of desired research: Follow this link for examples of possible research topics Priority Research Topics SECOE believes these specific topics to be of highest priority. Statistical research to quantify the use and effects of systems engineering How to compress the systems engineering process, with sensitivity analysis (cost, schedule, quality) to define what is lost by compression Cost estimation methods for systems engineering Relative cost of requirements changes - can expand to similar topics such as relative cost of tests, relative costs of analysis, etc.

INCOSE UK Chapter. INCOSE EMEA Sector Conference The EMEASEC is the continuation of the biennial European Systems Engineering conferences (EuSEC).

INCOSE UK Chapter

The name of this ninth conference has changed from EuSEC to EMEASEC in order to better represent the geographical and cultural scope of the EMEA Sector of INCOSE. Introduction MITRE systems engineers (SEs) orchestrate the complete development of a system, from a need through operations to retirement, by applying a set of life-cycle building blocks.

SE Life-Cycle Building Blocks

SEs are expected to understand and work with fundamental building blocks for engineering systems, regardless of the specific life-cycle methodology used. They are expected to define systems conceptually, transform user needs into system requirements, and develop and assess architectures. They are expected to compose and assess alternative design and development approaches; develop test and certification strategies; monitor and assess contractor efforts in design, development, integration, and test; and assist with field deployment, operations, and maintenance. Background All systems engineering models and processes are organized around the concept of a life cycle.
