Cassini-Huygens - Landing on Titan – the new movies
A little more than one year after the spectacular descent of ESA’s Huygens on Saturn’s giant moon Titan, scientists from the probe’s Descent Imager/Spectral Radiometer (DISR) have released two new movies of the descent.
Huygens probe descent - multilingual CD-rom A multilingual version of the Huygens Descent movies is now available, thanks to a collaboration between Europlanet and ESA. Currently the CD-rom contains six languages: English, French, German, Greek, Polish, Finnish.

Charley Kohlhase left, and Richard Spehalski As it makes its long, lonely journey through the solar system, the Cassini-Huygens spacecraft is carrying more than just science instruments and sophisticated cameras. Keeping the spacecraft company is the result of a NASA campaign-- a DVD disk placed onboard the spacecraft containing the signatures of more than a half million well-wishers from 81 nations.
The master of the CD-ROM was mounted on the Huygens space probe that was launched on 15 October 1997 to Titan, Saturn's largest satellite. The messages are texts, drawings, signatures and audio messages that have been engraved on the master as digital files for consultation with a application also provided on the CD-rom. The CD-ROM also includes a short presentation of the European Space Agency and of the joint ESA/NASA mission Huygens/Cassini.
