Dogs are of the first animals to be domesticated by man and over the years have become known as mans best friend for their loyalty and affection. Over the years they have shown there usefulness be it in hunting, for company or for guarding, they have become vital to our society too. Due to their excellent sense of smell and hearing certain dogs are used in the police force, other breeds are used as guide dogs, to heard animals as well as help the fire department. These magnificent animals have helped save many lives among other feats and therefor we have gathered 60 photos of man’s best friend, hope you enjoy and leave us your opinions.
As my wife Christie opened the door of the crate he’d travelled in, he teetered to a standing position and looked out at us, moving his head slowly from side to side, taking in the wonder of it all. Finally, as if weighing us up and deciding we were acceptable, he tentatively pushed his little nose forward and gave Christie her first lick. We certainly never dreamed he would one day become the biggest dog in the world, standing nearly 4ft high at the shoulder, 7ft long and weighing nearly 18 stone. Right now, he just looked bewildered.

I've seen dogs do this countless times, cats too, but Carli Davidson's photos make you appreciate how intense the shake must be to literally toss the water droplets outward. The animal will typically start by shaking its head side to side, twisting its neck, then the shaking motion moves through the rest of the body, ending with the tail. Does this hurt? (I imagine not.

There are few things in life happier than a happy dog. It doesn't matter if it's because they hear you pull into the driveway after work or if they find something particularly smelly to roll around on in the backyard; if a dog is happy you are going to know about it. You can see them just vibrate with pure unfiltered joy, as if they can't believe that life can be this good. Thanks to the ubiquity of cameras and YouTube, there are scores of videos of supremely happy canines just waiting to be found.
