Seagate Technology on Monday announced GoFlex Satellite mobile wireless storage, the first battery-powered external hard drive to wirelessly extend the storage capacity of any Wi-Fi enabled mobile device. The GoFlex Satellite provides 500GB capacity that can be accessed using Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n interfaces and sports a rechargeable battery that sports up to 5 hours of battery life and up to 25 hours of standby time. The external hard disk drive also sports USB 3.0 interface. This latest member of the GoFlex family provides the ability to carry a library of video, music, pictures and documents.
