Last night I was feeling very nostalgic and missing home so I decided to try to find a recipe for Toasted Ravioli. This is another St. Louis specialty and is so darn good I get it any chance I can. The only issue I have is that they are usually fried and I'm not a big fan of frying if I can help it. For me frying is just too darn messy and I tend to burn myself nearly every time I fry foods. Baked Toasted Ravioli Ingredients 1 egg white 1 teaspoon water 1 cup bread crumbs 2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning 2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese 1 (25 ounce) package cheese and/or beef ravioli, thawed if frozen cooking spray Preheat an oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Beat together the egg white and water in a small bowl. Mix bread crumbs, oregano, basil, and Parmesan cheese in a large bowl. Dip each ravioli in the beaten egg, and then roll in the bread crumb mixture. Spray both sides of breaded ravioli with cooking spray; Place on the wire rack. Mini Quick Quiches. Mini Shrimp Quiche. We easily forget how blessed we are to have caring people in our lives, to have good food on our plates, and to have opportunities in our future. We go through our day to day motions of buying overpriced cappuccinos and putting gas in our cars without a thought. We hardly ever think about how privileged we truly are. There are days when we even take ourselves for granted. And so before we talk about super amazing things with bacon and maple syrup, I thought I’d write you a little inspirational post about how awesome you truly are. My hacks: I baked them instead of grilling them, and added salsa verde and cheddar to the cream cheese for some more flavor.
There are some things I would do differently next time I make them though. 1) use thinner bacon – I had thick cut on hand and it took too long to cook and was chewy. 2) Par cook the bacon in the microwave for about 3 minutes to render out some of the fat and get it started.
