Persistence, patience and experience shooting are the best things you can do to improve your photo skills. The more you shoot, the more comfortable and familiar you'll become with your equipment and point of view. That being said, I think your greatest resource for inspiration is the work of photographers you admire. The next time you're looking at a magazine you love or you're floating around town at a museum or gallery, look at the photographs and note the artist.

Spencer Residence, 1950, Santa Monica, CA (Architect: Richard Spencer) I have in my mind many ideas of what my dream home would be and love all of the architectural blogs on Tumblr.
Being the perpetual apartment dweller that I am, I tend to really get lost in the romance of a sprawling, modern home. I invariably end up envisioning images I've seen by architectural photographer Julian Shulman, particularly the modern homes of Southern California, designed by such renowned architects as Ray Eames, Pierre Koenig, Richard Neutra and John Lautner. Shulman's captures from the '50s are a favorite; I love the styles of both the people in the photographs and the homes themselves -- classic, clean and polished.
Case Study House #22 is a great representation of Shulman's work and aesthetic. Lemmy_caution's Photostream. Ystenes' Photostream. Jordan spring in Tel Dan. Sleepytako's Photostream. Dogo369 - od jake makes slideshows. Léonie Hampton. Elīna Ruka Léonie Hampton.
From "In the Shadow of Things" Léonie Hampton (1978) is a French photographer living in London, whose interest in photography evolves around the family subject. She portrays her mother who suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder. Because of this condition the house where the mother has lived since her divorce, after 12 years still looks like a warehouse as opposed to a cosy home. Léonie Hampton has been awarded Foam KLM Paul Huf and Fabrica F awards. What does photography mean to you? The possibility to express, explore and create. How would you describe your working manner? Quiet. Your interest is focused on the family subject. It is what primarily interests me. Has the work you have done on your family changed your artistic perspective?
Of course. Please, share a beautiful story from the creative/shooting process! Www.leoniehampton.com. 10 minutes with Rinko Kawauchi.

Posted by admin on Mar 14, 2011 in Crazy Art | 0 comments Light painting, also known as light drawing or light graffiti is a photographic technique in which exposures are made usually at night or in a darkened room by moving a hand-held light source or by moving the camera. In many cases the light source itself does not have to appear in the image. The term light painting also encompasses images lit from outside the frame with hand-held light sources.
These amazing Skeleton Light Paintings are created by artist Janne Parviainen . All of these are long exposure images with no post production. Painting with light: Have a go! Inspiration.
