Mini Fruit Pies & Simple Organized Living. I love pie. I love eating pie, I love making pie, I love nearly all vartities of pie! The only problem with pie is that the crust always seems to get soggy before we can eat it all — there are just 2 of us you know. Anyway, mini pies are extremely easy and take less than 20 minutes to bake (half that of most full pies) Ingredients: Pie Crust Dough — I used store bought refrigerated crust but feel free to use homemadeFilling — choose your favorite pie fillings and make mini batches of each one (or use canned filling) Directions: Use a biscuit cutter to create mini pie crusts — cut as many or as few as you want What is your favorite pie? After having the great honor to be on the panel of judges for the 1st Annual Brooklyn Pie Bake Off Benefit at Spacecraft and sample over thirty handmade pies, I realized that making and eating homemade pie is truly at the top of my personal priorities for the new year, and in life in general.

Wild goals of skydiving or going to the gym every day aside, I think one resolution I can stick to this year is to make time for the sweet, slow things in life, like freshly baked pie, straight from the oven. This is a compensated review by BlogHer and Kraft. Cookies are always, always, always a big hit around my house. As I’ve said before, my husband eats them for breakfast. He puts on his sad face and whines if a few days pass without cookies in the house. It’s pitiful. When I was contacted to create recipes for PHILADELPHIA brand Cream Cheese I knew right away that a cookie just had to be one of the recipes. I’ve made Cheesecake Cookies before, but I wanted something a bit different.

I checked out a few of the cooking videos on the Real Women of Philadelphia website to see what everyone else had come up with. Ultimately, with all the recent cookie stuffing I’ve seen around the food blogosphere (and right here on this blog), I thought I’d go that route. Now I know that the poll's winner (banana cream macarons) are long overdue and macarons have been absent from this blog for a while.

Truth is, I made them yesterday and they failed :(. Being the pesky little cookies that they are, I've decided to put the macarons on hold for a few weeks... at least till my exam week is over. However, a beautiful Bundt cake will take their place this week! I got the inspiration for this cake when I was eating licking a naepolitan ice cream a few weeks ago. It made me reminisce of the three-layered neapolitan cake I made when I just started this blog. A three-tiered cake seemed a little ambitious during 75˚F weather, so I went the easy way and combined the three neapolitan flavors into one big & beautiful Bundt cake. Rating: 4 out of 5. Cookies 'N Cream Oreo Fudge Brownies. Hellooooo, good lookin’! What a way to start the week! :) Last weekend as we were exploring Blue Ridge, GA, we stopped by this charming little bakery. They had all kinds of delicious looking homemade brownies.

Oreo brownies, peanut butter brownies, raspberry cream cheese brownies… *groans* Kevin totally had his eye on the Oreo brownies. We didn’t get any there (we were too busy sampling the fried Oreos) so I promised to make them as soon as we got home. I used this recipe from Picky Palate for Ice Cream Sundae Brownies. Oh, baby. Come to mama. Layering the Oreos whole is totally the way to go! All these babies need is a big, huge scoop of vanilla ice cream. I think I’ll get on that. ;) Home | McCormick®
