European Technology Platforms. European Technology Platforms (ETPs) are industry-led stakeholder fora that develop short to long-term research and innovation agendas and roadmaps for action at EU and national level to be supported by both private and public funding. ETPs span a wide range of technology areas and have to date played an important role by developing joint visions, setting Strategic Research and Innovation Agendas and contributing to the definition of the research priorities including those under the Research Framework Programmes. Building on the strategies for Europe 2020 and for an Innovation Union, the Commission's Horizon 2020 proposal for an integrated research and innovation framework programme recognises the role of ETPs as part of the external advice and societal engagement needed to implement Horizon 2020. ETPs will therefore be a key element in the European innovation ecosystem and will help turn Europe into an Innovation Union, by taking a holistic view and: Russian Technology Platforms.

Bio-based economy. EATIP. ETPGAH. Food for Life. European Technology Platforms (ETPs) are industry-led, public/private partnerships encouraged by the European Commission to drive innovation and unite stakeholder communities in reaching strategic research objectives of key European industry sectors. The main goals of the ETPs are to strengthen the European innovation process, improve knowledge transfer and stimulate European competitiveness across the food chain.

ETP ´Food for Life´ was created in 2005 under the auspices of the Confederation of Food and Drink Industries of the European Union (CIAA), following the principles of the Lisbon Strategy. CIAA has since been renamed FoodDrinkEurope in June 2011, which is the trade body representing the interests of food and drink manufacturers at the EU level. ETP ´Food for Life´ addresses innovation in the agri-food sector, which is the largest manufacturing sector within the EU. Forest-Based Sector. TP Organics. Plants. FABRE. NESSI. Big Data Value: Public Consultation Now Open! After months of preparation and gathering input we are now glad to announce that the public consultation on the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda for Big Data Value creation for Europe has opened. NESSI, together with partners from the FP7 project Big, have drafted a Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) on Big Data Value for Europe. The objective of the SRIA is to describe the main research challenges and needs for advancing Big Data Value in Europe in the next 5 to 10 years.

The current content of the SRIA is based on contributions from NESSI and Big Project partners, input from other stakeholders and the outcomes of several sector workshops held early this year. Now we want to solicit your views and validate the agenda. The consultation is open to all and will be accessible until 5 May 2014. About NESSI NESSI is the European Technology Platform (ETP) dedicated to Software and Services. Photonics21. ICT. ARTEMIS. Welcome to the Information Age with computers and communications at its foundation. ARTEMIS aims to help European industry consolidate and reinforce its world leadership in embedded computing technologies. The economic impact in terms of jobs and growth is expected to exceed € 100 billion over ten years. Already, over 98% of all computing chips are are actually hidden or "embedded" in all sorts of things that do not even look like computers.

Computers are moving away from the desktop and can be found in everyday devices like credit cards, mobile phones, cars and planes. Innovations made possible by embedded systems make our lives healthier and more interesting, our transport safer, and our energy use more sustainable. They are at the heart of industrial innovation and competitiveness, creating and sustaining jobs and economic well-being. Mission statement Vision and Objectives Values Strategy. EUROP. EUROP, the European Robotics Technology Platform, is an industry-driven framework for the main stakeholders in robotics to strengthen Europe’s competitiveness in robotic R&D, as well as global markets, and to improve quality of life. To this aim EUROP has developed a joint European Strategic Research Agenda (SRA), which would help focus research initiatives and innovative activities towards maximum impact. The SRA was published in July 2009. EUROP is one of several European Technology Platforms (ETPs) supported by the EU.

The European Robotics Coordination Action (euRobotics CA), an EU project within the Seventh Framework Programme of the Information and Communication Technology, currently supports EUROP. EUROP's roots go back to October 2004, when leading European robotics organisations started to formulate the need for a consolidated approach to European robotics, which led to the constitution of EUROP as an ETP in October 2005. The SRA was first launched in 2005. Please note: ETP4HPC. ENIAC. EPoSS. ISI - The Integral Satcom Initiative. Net!Works. NEM.
