Et à la fin, ce fut l’abordage ; tout le monde a voulu sa part du butin et le financement a explosé à plus de 4000% du seuil escompté ! Tortuga 1667 a fait une razzia sur Kickstarter ; comme un vrai jeu de pirates ! Quand Travis et Holly, les auteurs/éditeurs du jeu, ont lancé leur campagne KS à la mi-janvier, avaient-ils conscience du succès qu’ils allaient rencontrer ? Sans doute étaient-ils confiants car ils avaient fort bien préparé leur coup. A la base, ils bénéficiaient d’une première expérience réussie sur Kickstarter avec le jeu Salem. Un jeu fondateur qui posait la marque de fabrique de leur maison d’édition : des jeux présentés dans une boite « faux livre » et une mécanique de votes secrets pour des parties avec de nombreux joueurs. Salem a surement constitué la fan-base qui a appuyé le bon démarrage de Tortuga 1667.

In an effort to reduce the overall cost of production (and ultimately lower our funding goal) we are continuing to work with the same overseas manufacturing company we did with all of our previous games including Linkage, Peptide, Ion, Covalence and Virulence.
