Craftaholics Anonymous: t-shirt pom poms TUTORIAL. Learn how to turn old t-shirts into pom poms! T-shirt Pom Poms are so much more durable than tissue paper ones. And I think they look loads better! Got an old tee or two {or 20!} That you don’t wear anymore? Turn them into *pretty little pom poms! * they’re fun and easy to make and turn out oh-so-fluffy! Supplies t-shirts, 1 per pom pomscissorscardboard use round objects to trace circles onto cardboard to make 2 templates like those shown above. i used a roll of tape and my camera lens cap…. the diameter of the outer circle is 6.5″ and the diameter of the inner circle is 2.5″. you can play around with different template sizes to get different sized pom poms. cut your t-shirt into 1/2″ strips. i only used from the arm pits down on each shirt. . take one strip and one template and place strips as shown close to the inner circle. sandwich the strip by putting the other template on top. take a fabric strip and place on cardboard with the end even with the outer edge. should look something like this.

Enter Kronum, which was started roughly a year ago by a group of intrepid Philadelphians obviously dissatisfied with existing sports. Like any new activity, the gameplay can be a little rough to grasp, but if this sport could ever make it to a larger level, the opportunity for widespread popularity most certainly exists, especially on college campuses and in beer-league hotspots. As it exists now, the sport takes place within a grass circle that is 70 yards in diameter. The teams are 10 on 10, and there are four nets, one in each quadrant.

Petrobras told it can use deep-water vessel in Gulf | Business | Chron.com. Petrobras has received final approval to operate the Gulf of Mexico's first floating production, storage and offloading vessel, clearing the way for the Brazilian oil giant to start pumping oil from two deep-water fields, federal regulators said Thursday. The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement took the "final regulatory step" in green-lighting the project, with the approval of a production safety system permit and a supplemental deep-water operating plan, the bureau said in a statement. The floating production, storage and offloading vessel, or FPSO, has a daily production capacity of 80,000 barrels of oil and 16 million cubic feet of natural gas.
The ocean energy bureau said with the latest approvals, production at the Cascade and Chinook deep-water fields is expected to begin soon. Bill O'Reilly says unemployment is lower in 'right-to-work' states. On the Feb. 24, 2011, edition of Fox News’ The O’Reilly Factor, host Bill O’Reilly said that the jobs picture is better in "right to work" states -- that is, states in which workers can refuse to pay dues or fees to the union that represents them in bargaining. "The right-to-work states have much lower level of unemployment than the union states do," O’Reilly said while interviewing Caroline Heldman, a political scientist at Occidental College. We thought we’d check to see whether O’Reilly is correct. First, some background. According to the National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation, 22 states have passed some form of right-to-work law (the exact provisions can vary) -- Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Wyoming.
