Pomegranate-Blueberry. Mean Green Juice. I’m on Day 17 of my Juice Reboot!

Mean Green Juice

I watched Joe Cross’s film “Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead” and I was inspired. After two back surgeries, may procedures, and severe chronic pain, I’ve ballooned up in weight. I’ve tried every diet but my metabolism seems out of sync with all the cortisone injections and medicines. So far, I’ve only lost 10 pounds but I’ve lost 2 inches in my waist and 2 inches in my hips and my pants are hanging more loosely. Of course, I should have gone to my doctor already but I plan to do so next week. I bought the Breville Juice Fountain Plus, centrifugal juicer. My favorite recipe is 3 apples, 3 carrots, 3-6 Kale leaves, piece of ginger size of thumb.

For you ladies, I’ve also noticed that the pores on my nose have shrunk a bit. Good luck to you all and happy juicing! Pomegranate. My mother-in-law is a pomegranate juicing expert.

I watch her every day lovingly peeling, seeding and juicing pomegranates for an hour for her husband. She goes through so many pomegranates that the two trees on the property don't produce enough fruit for her. You may wonder why she doesn't just buy commercially prepared pomegranate juice, but once you try it at home you'll know the difference. The commercial varieties (even those with 100% juice) are prepared from concentrate, which definitely affects the flavor. My mother-in-law is actually so fanatical about the flavor of the pomegranates that she takes a knife to the grocery store, buys one, and makes sure it is sweet before buying a lot more. She first started juicing the seeds with a juice extractor, but found that this wasted a lot of juice, so she has come up with a tried-and-true method for extracting every last drop. She now uses a blender to juice the pomegranates, seeds and all. Enjoy! Blueberry. This is in preparation for part six in the series, which we'll get to tomorrow. Here's the cool part about this: You don't need a juicer to do this step. All you really need is a blender and a nut milk bag (a fine mesh bag used to squeeze out the juice). Of course, a proper juicer really helps, but it's not required. Below, I'm going to give you an absolutely delicious live foods juicing recipe that I think you'll really enjoy. Raw living foods offer one of the greatest secrets to disease reversal and lasting health, and nothing beats fresh living foods right out of the garden. Here's what you'll need (always choose organic): If you can't find these ingredients, substitute something close.
