Mean Green Juice Recipes
I’m on Day 17 of my Juice Reboot! I watched Joe Cross’s film “Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead” and I was inspired. After two back surgeries, may procedures, and severe chronic pain, I’ve ballooned up in weight. I’ve tried every diet but my metabolism seems out of sync with all the cortisone injections and medicines. I bought the Breville Juice Fountain Plus, centrifugal juicer. My favorite recipe is 3 apples, 3 carrots, 3-6 Kale leaves, piece of ginger size of thumb. For you ladies, I’ve also noticed that the pores on my nose have shrunk a bit. Good luck to you all and happy juicing!

Juice Diet Recipes There are many different types of juicers on the market, and as everyone has different needs and requirements it's important to choose the juicer that fits the purpose - whether you are juicing to fight a certain disease or medical condition, or to improve general health and well-being. They all work differently and come in various sizes, shapes and price ranges, so to make it easy here is a general overview of the different juice machine categories with manual and electric versions: Citrus pressesWheat grass juicersCentrifugal JuicersMasticating Juicers (single gear)Triturating Juicers (twin gear) Citrus juicers are the least expensive juicers and are ideal for extracting juice from fruits such as oranges, lemons and grapefruits. My teenage athletes need their proteins and carbs while my husband is on “all protein and a tad bit of carb” diet. He is trying to lose weight while my kids are trying to gain muscle mass. It literally takes me two hours to figure out what to cook for dinner sometimes. I sometimes wish we could just ‘drink’ our meals. So when I heard about this documentary, “Fat Sick and Nearly Dead“, I was intrigued. Juicing. Cross drank juice for 60 days to get his health back, and this film chronicles his journey across 3000 miles to do just that. From “Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead”; 100 pounds overweight, loaded up on steroids and suffering from a debilitating autoimmune disease, Joe Cross is at the end of his rope and the end of his hope. Juicer Recipes Happy Wednesday folks and good day to you! The time is upon us where the heat is coming and the energy to cook is slowly going down in some peoples kitchens. Juices are a great way to have a quick snack or even as a light dinner. The nutritional benefits of drinking a glass of fresh juice far outweigh that which you get by drinking packaged juice, so make the effort to go for fresh juice. Update: Before I get down to the recipes, due to reader demand, I created a juicer recipe ebook that includes 50 of my favorite juicer recipes. So let’s get right to it and talk about some juicer recipes. pomegranate My mother-in-law is a pomegranate juicing expert. I watch her every day lovingly peeling, seeding and juicing pomegranates for an hour for her husband. She goes through so many pomegranates that the two trees on the property don't produce enough fruit for her. You may wonder why she doesn't just buy commercially prepared pomegranate juice, but once you try it at home you'll know the difference. She first started juicing the seeds with a juice extractor, but found that this wasted a lot of juice, so she has come up with a tried-and-true method for extracting every last drop. She now uses a blender to juice the pomegranates, seeds and all. All you need is 5 large ripe pomegranates to get about two and a half cups. In a blender, gather the seeds of the 5 pomegranates, 1/2 cup of ice cubes and 1/3 cup of water for a smooth flow. You'll get 2-1/2 cups of fresh pomegranate juice. Enjoy!

Green Monster Movement Posted by Angela | Posted in Reader Recipes | Posted on 17-06-2011 Smoothies are great, and one of my favorite things to make, but normally I would include a few varieties of fruit – not veg in a blender, so when I discovered the green monster recipes and movement I was very intrigued. My little brother and I would often concoct smoothie recipes together after a summer run, throwing whatever we could find in the kitchen into the blender jug – usually bananas, apples, OJ, honey, peanut butter and some ice – you get the picture – the refreshing, but still sweet and fruity type of drink. This morning after a run I decided to branch out into the veggie world of smoothies and as a green monster virgin, attempted the so-named recipe, using fat-free vanilla soy milk. But…I did alter the ingredients slightly to include chia, not flax seeds, and I also added a teaspoon of local bee pollen picked up at the local farmers market. Once blended, I topped it with a sprinkle of Bran Flakes.

blueberry (NaturalNews) Continuing our 15-part article series called Heal Yourself in 15 Days, today we focus on cleansing your digestive tract and energizing your cellular energy with the help of some living foods. This is in preparation for part six in the series, which we'll get to tomorrow. Here's the cool part about this: You don't need a juicer to do this step. Raw living foods offer one of the greatest secrets to disease reversal and lasting health, and nothing beats fresh living foods right out of the garden. Here's what you'll need (always choose organic): • 1 container of Blackberries (use all the blackberries)• 1 bunch of Parsley (use all the parsley)• 1 bunch of Kale (only use 2-3 large leaves in this recipe)• 1 bag of Carrots (only use 3 large carrots for this recipe)• 1 bunch of Celery (use 2-3 stalks for this recipe)• 2 Pears (use both pears) If you can't find these ingredients, substitute something close. • Parsley is a super digestive cleanser. • The pears are the sweeteners here.
