We've been on ACA 2011 for some time now, and it has been working just fine until a few months ago. IT mistakenly installed 2013 on my workstation (At the time we were upgrading to Revit 2013, but leaving our Acad in 2011 because the dwg format change was messing with our established detail library). Since then, my detail components database is no longer working. When I click it, it says no database specified. When I go to specify one, I get 'cannot open database c:\programdata....' . I have Windows 7 64 bit, ACA 2011 as part of the Building Design Suite. .NET framework is version 4.5, and workstations where detail components ARE working have an identical .NET framework version. 1. 2.

AutoCAD Tip - Plot in Black and White ala Monochrome. So you want to take you multi-colored drawing and plot it in just black and white, but how?
This post is a direct result of a question I received from an attendee on the See the Difference with AutoCAD 2010 Tour in October. In AutoCAD when you go to the Plot command and enter the Plot dialog expand the Plot dialog. Select the Monochrome plot style (ctb or stb). Now select Apply to the Layout and preview or Plot and you should should be good to go.
