Before you look at the price and think ‘OMG she spent $40 on just the shelves alone’ let me tell you that it is probably one of the most expensive things in the room and I splurged because I knew they were the most NEEDED things.
The first thing I did was hang the shelf on the wall because it would be way harder to hang it once you got the lids and jars on. I’m thanking my grandpa for this idea because he used to store all of his nails and screws in baby food jars on his tool bench. I've got to be honest ... it's the best closet ever. We decided this would be a great place for scarves, belts, hats, etc. Cue scarf hanger how-to... I got my honey to cut some 1x2's down to two foot lengths. Then he attached them together with a brace on the back side. I like the unbalanced look. This thing is around 4 feet long -ish, I think. Spray painted it. Laid out some random hooks, then nailed them down. {got most of these hooks at Hobby Lobby} {the red doorknob hook and the barn door hook are my favs} And some scarves! My scarves are so happy to finally have a hanging home! Cheers to a successful weekend! I've had several people contact me about how the scarf hanger is attached to the wall.
