O principal objetivo do Inovar é o desenvolvimento e a consolidação da indústria de venture capital (VC) no Brasil. Ao longo de mais de uma década, diversas atividades foram desenvolvidas, dentre as quais destacamos o Portal Capital de Risco Brasil, o Venture Fórum e a Incubadora de Fundos Inovar (Inovar Fundos). Inovar Fundos A incubadora de Fundos Inovar promoveu, até novembro de 2012, 13 chamadas públicas destinadas a atuais e potenciais administradores/gestores de Fundos de VC para apresentação de propostas de capitalização de fundos de investimento. As chamadas para capitalização de fundos de investimento ocorrem em bases anuais, e a Finep seleciona aquelas oportunidades de mais se adequem ao seu perfil de risco X retorno. Despite a bad start, I caught the start-up bug. In the years since, I have worked with more than 30 start-ups as founder, advisor, engineer, executive, and board member. It's a lot more than that if you count all the times I've tried to help "nerd" friends (engineers) connect with the "rich guys" (VCs). Naturally, I've formed opinions along the way. Fortunately, engineers are trained problem-solvers-- I want to harness that power. My first experience with VCs was as an engineer starting a microprocessor-design company; VCs were the gods of money.
I wasn't the CEO; I hired and managed the engineering teams that eventually reached the goal.
