JEFFREY BROWN: Sculptures from sixth century China, the head of a Buddha, a seated bodhisattva, a kneeling winged monster, works of art from museums around the world. They tell a tale that goes back some 1,500 years. This is a story of ancient history and the latest technology. It's got religion and lots of art, and for you mystery and CSI fans, yes, great treasures have been lost and an investigation is ongoing. It begins in Northeast China in what is today a rural coal mining area at the Xiangtangshan caves. The name means Mountain of Echoing Halls.

A hell of a noise greets vistors to the current exhibition Mounir Fatmi : Oriental Accident at the gallery Lombard Freid Projects in New York. Even at the opening reception of the Mounir Fatmi’s exhibition the talk of the guests couldn’t drown out the noise. The source of the violent sound is an ornate Persian rug on which speakers are placed that play recordings from the demonstration in the Maghreb during the Arab Spring revolution. Mounir Fatmi was born in 1970 in Tangier, Morocco.

Das Regal SH05 ARIE wird in 25 mm starkem, massivem Eichenholz oder weiß pulverbeschichteter mitteldichter Faserplatte gefertigt und ist in zwei verschiedenen Höhen lieferbar. Das Konzept des Regals bietet eine Vielzahl von nahtlosen Kombinationsmöglichkeiten mit sich selbst. So können mehrere Regale nebeneinander aufgereiht werden, ohne dass eine Wiederholung sichtbar wird. Eine Ecke kann mit dem Regal elegant gelöst werden wobei es von außen wie von innen nahtlose und unsichtbare Berührungspunkte hat. Mit gleicher Länge und Tiefe ergibt auch eine Kombination von Regal und Sideboard eine geschmackvolle Aufbewahrungs- und Präsentationsfläche. Unsichtbare Strukturelemente ergeben eine undefinierte Vorder- oder Rückseite und ermöglichen es SH05 ARIE auch freistehend als Raumteiler einzusetzen.
