Envelope Book. A Basic Envelope Book Materials Needed: To create a basic envelope book you will need: 4 envelopes all the same size2 pieces of plain cardstock cut to the same size as the envelopesPatterned scrapbook papers to cover the cardA piece of cardstock as wide as the envelopes and 12" longA length of ribbon Cover the plain cardstock with the patterned scrapbook paper, snipping the corners to get a neater finish. Fold the long piece of cardstock accordion style. This will form the spine. The best way to do this is to fold once in half, open out and fold each end into the centre. Lay the ribbon across the centre of both covers, tape down to stabilize if necessary and glue the spine in place. Cover the inside front cover with patterned scrapbook paper and an envelope to the back cover. It's up to you whether to cut the flaps off or leave them on -- either way looks good. 31 DIY Ways To Make Your Backyard Awesome This Summer |

Lana creations My knitting work, knit project and free patterns catalogue. That made me think, a lot of people come to this blog through searches for "balaclava pattern".

What is the balaclava? A close-fitting, knitted o sewing cap that covers the head, neck, and tops of the shoulders, worn especially by mountain climbers, soldiers, skiers, etc. I found this free pattern in last night online for a fleece balaclava. I made one this morning in about an hour. Material: fleece. With fleece being soft and warm, it has become a fabric many want to have as a hat. There are many colors of fleece fabrics available. The main thing - do not confuse the inner and outer side of the fabric - for a fleece-like material that matters. How do it - fold the fabric so that the sides found each other with the entanglement of approximately 0.5 cm, and chop off so Topstitch seam "zigzag".

Remember: If sewing using a flat-stitch technique seam allowances are not needed. Lining (optional) If you have chosen to add a lining, follow these steps. Balaclava pattern in PDF, free download. Fleece hood and balaclava | Olive Leaf Journal. We’ve had frigid temps in our area, and sounds like most people across the US are having the same conditions. While staying indoors is a great way to stay warm (unless your power is out) dressing for the weather good also. My oldest son has one of these, and loves it, so he and I copied it and made, I believe, seven of them for Christmas gifts. Flurries Snow Showers Blizzard This is a quick project, and is very practical with many options of how to wear it. You need 3/4 of a yard of fleece. You will also need a nice boot lace, a piece of parachord or some such for the hood tie. The three pieces needed are easy to draft off a rectangle, and you don’t have to be precise, close will do.

Here is my low tech drawing of the pieces you’ll need. For the hood you need a rectangle 15″ X 13″. For the scarf piece you need a rectangle that is 11″X13″, placed on the fold. The neck cover is a little more tricky, but again, this doesn’t need to be exact!! It will look something like this from the bottom. Category: Hacks. When my older son discovered his first wiggly tooth, I realized that I had the chance to define the Tooth Fairy experience for another generation. As I pondered how the Tooth Fairy would collect our family's teeth, it occurred to me that she has an awful lot of teeth to gather, especially considering the ever-rising world population.

It seemed prudent to figure out a way to send the teeth to her for processing, rather than make her visit the homes of all 7,103,000,000 people on Earth. As such, I installed a pneumatic transport system (as at the bank drive-through) in my house, for the purpose of sending teeth to the Tooth Fairy, and receiving renumeration back from her. The Raspberry Pi serves up an interface that I built using Hype, which allowed me to quickly animate the movement of the capsule on the map and the spinning tooth on the "Under Review" page.

. #! The Pi does not need to know which direction the carrier is going. See the entire series here. Dog sanitary panty diaper nappy patterns | Mimi & Tara | Free Dog Clothes Patterns. Many of you have asked me for a female dog sanitary panties, so here I bring you the patterns that can be used as a diaper with a sanitary napkin or simply like a cute shorts for summer time. There are several designs that can be done, for this design I was inspired by the image below, that seems pretty simple, comfortable and beautiful. You have to measure your dog's waist and choose the correct size, to do that please follow the table below: Size XS-8 inch waistline Size S-10 inch waistline Size M-12 inch waistline Size L-14 inch waistline Size XL-16 inch waistline Size XXL-18 inch waistline Please note that you have to measure your dog's WAIST, NOT CHEST, so measures should be taken at the waistline, the narrow point of the abdomen between the ribcage and hips.

If needed you can make bigger the dog's tail hole. To decorate the panties, we can sew some bows, or a lace binding on the back. I highly recommend sewing a lining in the intimate zone for more protection. Happy sewing!! The Stylish Outfits This Woman Makes Out Of Secondhand Clothes Are Incredible. DIY paper clip earrings | withonehandwavingfree. Recently I felt myself falling into sort of a creative rut. I took a little break from crafting and began perusing my favorite blogs as well as the always inspiring craftgawker. During my ventures, I stumbled upon a bunch of really fun new DIY projects, one of which I had to try right away -paper clip earrings.

I love when I already have all of the materials required to complete a project. Anyway, after finishing one pair I was hooked. Not only did they turn out really cool, I strangely enjoyed the therapeutic motion of winding string around wire. I made a bunch of earrings trying both colored hemp and yarn. I gave a pair to my friend, Laura, for her birthday and was super excited to hear her say she “could totally picture them gracing the pages of the Anthropologie catalogue.”

Paper clip earrings what you will need: As far as the glue is concerned, one that dries clearly and quickly is ideal. Once the edges are all open, you will shape it into a triangle. Don’t worry, though. Like this: How to do anything. Shapeways - Design, buy, and sell products with 3D Printing.

I don't have one, but here's how you can easily draft your own: ::take a pinafore/singlet/dress in the correct size and trace around it - i only traced half then folded and cut the other half - adjusting length as required: ::it should look a little something like this:: ::to make the back piece, match the side seam and opposite shoulder seam. the rest entirely depends on your preference in curves:: **if don't have enough fabric to cut as a solid piece, use these two pieces (cutting 2 of the back) and add side seams** ::to make it a solid pattern piece (like i used) simply tape sides together, fold at centre front and cut on fold in fabric:: pretty easy huh?

French chaise made from card stock. This is the project for this month. This French chaise is made from card stock, foam core and mat board. You could trim off the front of the chaise and make a chair. The chaise in front, the one with the patterned fabric is a little longer than the pattern included. It was my prototype for the blog and I felt the chaise needed to be a little shorter. Below are the patterns. For a form for the back I used the top of a solid air freshener container. Measure down from the small end 2 1/8 inches. Cut out your back pattern and trace it onto a piece of card stock. Mark a center line on the front. Cut the back out, don't cut on the line this time. Spread wood glue on the back of your back. Place the first back onto card stock and press all of the glue out. Spread glue on the back you just cut out and place it onto another piece of card stock.

Press all of the glue out and make sure you have all 3 layers glued together well. Now, you cut the back out following the line. (I like these rubber bands.
