Our highly-detailed model train layouts represent prototypical scenery in Northern and Central California. We run both freight and passenger trains typical of the steam era through modern day diesels.

California Airways! Fire Department Tours - Alameda County. This is a great way to meet your local firefighters as well as learn how a fire station operates.
Any community group or individual is welcome to arrange a tour of a local Alameda County Fire Department fire station. The tour will focus primarily on the observation of the fire stations living quarters and fire engines. Guests will also be introduced to the many types of fire fighting and rescue equipment that is carried on a modern day fire truck. Tours of the house offer visitors a fun and informative environment to learn more about what life was like for farming families during the Victorian period. The McConaghy House Boutique features Victorian gifts and books for purchase to commemorate your visit. Archie’s Playroom Kids can now explore the history of Hayward's Victorian era in their very own room at the McConaghy House. This farm was originally owned by the George & Clara Patterson family from the 1850s. The farm still grows the same kind of produce that was grown in the region in the last 100 years, utilizing agricultural practices from the 1870s to the present, demonstrating the transition from horse-powered to horsepower farming.
