With the Newsstand framework Apple has provided a way for developers to place magazine apps within the special Newsstand folder using the Newsstand Kit. When asked about the Newsstand I came across an excellent step-by-step guide demonstrating how to set up an application to use newsstand, handling magazine downloading, downloading, and notification of new issues, setting up subscriptions, and more. You don’t have to set up a Newsstand app to use everything covered within the tutorial, but if you are looking for a guide on creating a subscription magazine this is a great starting point.
