November 2013, Volume 11, No 3 Introduction Museum & Society was launched in March 2003 by Gordon Fyfe, Kevin Hetherington and Susan Pearce as an independent peer reviewed journal which brings together new writing by academics and museum professionals on the subject of museums. It is both international in scope and at the cutting edge of empirical and theoretical research on museums. museum and society is edited by Eric Gable (University of Mary Washington, Fredericksburg, VA), Kate Hill (University of Lincoln), Suzanne MacLeod, (University of Leicester), Kylie Message (The Australian National University), Jim Roberts (University of Leicester); Production Editor, Richard Sandell (University of Leicester), Louise Tythacott (School of Arts, Histories and Cultures, University of Manchester) and Sheila Watson (University of Leicester).
