Classroom. Staff Portal. Hello AESD Staff, Starting this week, any staff members wishing to use Apps or web-based resources that collect student information (names, birthdates, or behavior and/or academic data) must follow the App Approval Process outlined below. The reason for the implementation of this process is in response to the California Bill AB1584, which states that each App or web-based resource needs comply with data privacy considerations.

Attached is a checklist of the most important language in the bill in regards to student data. Additionally, a short video, "Ask Before You App," can help guide you through a better understanding of the importance of researching how companies use student data. App Approval ProcessFor ALL AESD Employees who wish to use an App that collects Student Information Visit the App Approval Form here NOTE: You will be presented with a list of previously approved apps.
