I certainly have been enjoying a lot of pumpkin lately and in particular I have been enjoying transforming the pumpkin pie flavours into different dishes. When I came across the idea of a pumpkin pie white hot chocolate recently on The Luna Cafe I knew immediatly what my next pumpkin pie experiment was going to be. Not too long ago I had tried a pumpkin pie milkshake and a hot version of a pumpkin pie drink sounded perfect for the chilly weather that we have been having. This drink is pretty much as simple as making some white hot chocolate and adding the pumpkin puree and pumpkin spices and it is so worth making!

The pumpkin pie white hot chocolate was excellent! It was nice and hot and the white chocolate added the perfect amount of sweetness that went really well with the pumpkin pie flavours. Pumpkin Pie White Hot Chocolate Pumpkin and white chocolate is an amazing flavour combination and when used in a hot chocolate makes for a great way to stay warm on cold winter days. Ingredients.

In fact, iced coffee is better when made at home, if you know the right method. The secret to an iced coffee that has delicious flavor without the bitter taste or over-sweetness is to make it the night before using the cold-brew method. Instead of making the traditional pot of hot coffee and then chilling it, you soak the coffee grounds overnight in cold water. It makes a tremendous difference in flavor: it’s smoother and easier to drink, so you don’t need to add extra sugar to cover up any acidic taste. This iced coffee recipe makes two glasses for less than fifty cents, and that’s with the good coffee. I add a generous amount of milk and a spoonful or two of raw sugar. Perfect Iced Coffee. Iced coffee is my life. When I wake up, often around the time party animals on the west coast are just heading home, I start each day not with a cup of freshly brewed hot java, but with a tall, blessed glass of creamy iced coffee in a glass. I’ve been an iced coffee freakazoid for years and years. To say I couldn’t live without it is an understatement. It gives me the tools I need to cope. One would think that one could merely pour brewed coffee into a glass full of ice and call it a day…but I find that method extremely flawed. 1. Given the previous set of facts, one would assume that the logical solution would be to brew hot coffee, then transfer the brew to the fridge, allow it to cool, and use it to make iced coffee from there. There are reasons this method results in a smoother, richer, more delicious concentrate than simply brewing strong coffee and refrigerating it. I start with a big ol’ container. Easy. Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate Recipe. Hot chocolate is probably one of my favorite autumn/winter beverages! And although I am no stranger to store-bought hot chocolate mix for a quick and easy treat I wanted to create a hot chocolate recipe that was more like a decadent dessert drink.

This Salted Caramel version really fits the bill. It will be quite rich and thick and although I just adore caramel paired with a little sea salt, if you don't like the sweet and salty combination then just leave the salt in this recipe out. Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate, makes 2 large servings. Needed: 16 ounces milk or cream (I used a combination of 8 ounces milk and 8 ounces cream), 4 ounces dark chocolate, 4 ounces chocolate caramel (such as Hershey's version), a pinch or two of sea salt. In a sauce pan or small pot heat half (8 ounces) of the milk and 4 ounces chopped dark chocolate and salt until melted. Serve with a little whipped cream, a drizzle of caramel and a sprinkle of sea salt. Have fun sipping something sweet. xo, emma + elsie.
