Gallery Ezakwantu and Associates - have sold tribal art objects to museums and art galleries around the world for over 35 years. These include the following entities.
Aboriginal artist Vernon Ah Kee will visit the University of Virginia for an artist residency April 4 – 12. Ill-like , an exhibition of his drawings and textual works, is on view at the Kluge-Ruhe Collection through May 10. Ah Kee’s textual works can also be viewed at Brooks Hall Commons and at the International Residence College on UVa Grounds. Ah Kee’s residency will include an Artist Talk on April 5, a guided tour of ill-like on April 7, and a public reception with the artist on April 12. In addition Ah Kee will be guest lecturing to several courses at UVa, and may produce an in situ artwork on Charlottesville’s community chalkboard on the Downtown Mall. Paddy Stewart Japaljarri Paddy est né en 1935. Il a travaillé dans les fermes et comme cuisinier (d’où son surnom de “Cookie”). Il joue un rôle important en tant que doyen mais aussi par son engagement dans la communauté : il siège au conseil municipal (son équivalent), conduit le bus de l’école, participe à la Night Patrol et enseigne à l’école les traditions aborigènes. Il est l’un des artistes majeurs de Yuendumu.
