Simple Bow Tie Top

This is one of those projects that's been on my to do list forever and now that I finally got it done, I wish I had done it a long time ago. This is such a simple project. One of the easiest I've ever made. Don't have much sewing experience? Give this a go, I promise it's a piece of cake and any mistakes made are hardly noticeable because of the gather. Materials: 5/6 + yard knit & 1/3 yard silk, cotton, etc.

Summer Dress. Made this little dress yesterday for my five-year-old, just in time for the first day of summer.

Summer Dress

I based the design on a Liberty of London for Target dress that we bought in the spring — a very simple pattern with elastic at the top and simple straps (without elastic). I used just a 1/2 yard of fabric so added the gingham bit at the bottom for length. This style could be shortened to make a quick and easy shirt as well. Tuto haut ou robe à bretelles nouées ! Junebug dress sew-along Part 1: pattern and pieces. And now for the Junebug dress tutorial/sew along.

Scroll down or click here. I love spring and summer clothing after a long chilly winter. We definitely did not have a long cold winter here in Georgia like we were used to having in Idaho (sorry Idaho friends, I know you’re probably still freezing. Eek!) ……..but still, as cold as it wasn’t here, I love jumping into light and bright clothing when spring rolls around. Peasant Dress Costumes. Re-purposing: Tshirt into Dress (or Top) with Braided Straps

Where I talked about passing by clearanced shirts at Wal-Mart and had to grab one to make a little dress with a braided collar for my baby girl? (Found here.) Well, the truth is, is that I bought 2 shirts. Both stripes. Both soft and light knit fabric. This dress is for my older daughter and is a bit different. And is completely made from a women’s size XXL jersey knit shirt (the bigger size you buy, the more fabric you get) from the stack of cheap-y knit Tshirts at Wal-Mart. The Color Block Dress {Free PDF Pattern 12m-6Y} So I made Abbey a dress, I made it with a bodice pattern I made ages ago.

You know when you are cleaning through piles of papers that have needed attention for quite sometime, and low and behold you come across a drafted pattern that was never made. Yeah I am pretty sure I have a few more of those. So I thought I would go ahead and make the bodice up, and I added a color blocked skirt to the bottom to finish it off. So, I thought I would go ahead and share the pattern with all of you. So the pattern is in sizes 12m-6years. The sleeve has cute little pleats, and I double pleated the sleeve (top and bottom) for a fun shape. So the pattern has not been tested in anyway, but I made one up and it came together fine.

Or Please do not share, copy or sell the pattern. I used about 1 yard of the purple and 1/2 yard of the white. 30 mn de devoirs de rentrée… FC_ROBEFILLEDHONNEUR. Celestial Dress DIY. Oh this is a fun project! My dress was prompted by the perfect timing of day one of the Kids Clothes Week Challenge and several remarkable glitter craft paints I received from Martha Stewart Crafts in conjunction with Michaels Craft Month.

I constructed a cap sleeve t-shirt dress on a simple neutral-toned cotton jersey and casually placed glittery circles of varying degrees of visual density using Martha’s foam pouncers to apply the paint. The effect of the very dense Martha Stewart Multi-Surface Glitter Craft Paint (Obsidian tone) was dazzling. Before the paint was dry, my daughter declared this her most favorite thing in the world and asked for several more just like it. Mini Mod Dress Tutorial and Free Pattern.
