Twenty-five years ago today, Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche passed away in Halifax, Nova Scotia, his last place of residence and the seat of the Shambhala Buddhist community. Rinpoche was many things — a Tibetan Buddhist master, an author, an artist, the founder of Naropa University, the founder of the Shambhala Sun magazine, and on and on… As such, people the world over are commemorating his life and work. For example, the Halifax Shambhala Centre has been hosting a small exhibit of Rinpoche’s personal belongings.
