Photo 1- You Totally Got This: 4 Easy Braids For Rookies

http://www.lovemaegan.com/2011/04/pretty-side-french-braid-low-updo-hair.html I wore a more relaxed version of this hair style in an outfit post in June of 2009 but for reasons unbeknownst to me, I never did a tutorial for it. Recently though, a few of my lovely readers have asked for it ...so here it is. Enjoy

You would think that ...uh, I dunno, I'd put on some make-up and maybe . ... uhhh, something cute ..at least a bra - before I did one of these ...lol. . . . this morning . . . after sleeping on the little spiral buns Remove pins and let spirals un-twirl . .. .make sure they are fully dry ...you can use a hair dryer a bit but it's better to do it before unravelling buns. ...I don't mind a little frizzzzzzz ... Use your fingers to separate waves ...do not brush out. I made the top section a little larger/thicker so the curl wasn't as tight which sort of lays over the rest. . . .The smaller sections and more twisted spiral buns you do all over your head, the curlier it turns out. Use a small barrel curling iron {in this fashion} on stray pieces. http://www.lovemaegan.com/2009/06/hair-tos-get-big-curls-with-tiny-buns.html

If you follow me on Instagram you already know about this because I shared it there see photos below but the other night I slept on twisted buns to get these BIG CURLS just to switch it up a little which the husband LOVES. In fact he said "You know, you could do that MORE OFTEN if you wanted to" . Big curls are a BIG hit around here ;)

http://www.thewonderforest.com/2011/10/messy-chunky-beach-waves-easy-tutorial.html I'm one of those people who was cursed with stick straight thin hair that hates to curl. I used to do the traditional "braid your hair before bed" and rag curling tricks to get nice beachy waves, but they never ended up turning out right the next day. I didn't like the fact that the process took a whole night, and I had no way of knowing what my hair was going to look like when I pulled the braids/rags out. Do you know how nerve-wracking that is, especially if you have an event to go to (*cough* my brother's wedding)?

Head Scarves « Glitter & Pearls

http://glitterandpearls.com/2011/10/04/head-scarves/ I’ve always believed that girls who wore head scarves just pulled off chic. I’ve worn head scarves over dirty hair to much guffawing from the peanut gallery (a.k.a. stupid brothers) who tell me I look like the chiquita banana lady. Hey, at least she’s famous.
This is my favorite new way to wear my hair. I am obsessed with a braided crown! I love how it looks pulled together, yet still laid back. In essence you french braid your hair around the crown of your head, let's take a closer look... 1. You want to start by pulling the majority of your hair forward (in front of your face) from nearly the back of your hair line.
