The team at Ben Bacal were looking to take things up a notch with the construction of this immaculate masterpiece located at 9909 Beverly Grove. At first glance, the multi-colored lighting can be mistaken for that of a plush lounge, and paired with the waterfalls, steel encased bridges, roof top deck and pool, this house is the ultimate Los Angeles bachelor pad. The property features 3 bedrooms in addition to a maids and guest house to make up the 8300 square foot floor plan. What bachelor’s pad would be complete without a custom movie theater and 500 bottle wine cellar complete with a 3 inch glass ceiling built for dancing and entertaining.

It's not actually available, but I'm just crossing my fingers that designer Michelle de la Vega needs a few roommates (my husband, my dog, and I) in her fully functional 250 square foot space. We can all fit in there, right? In all seriousness though, this remodel is really incredible. Michelle custom built most of the furniture and salvaged old fixtures for the project as well. Expansive windows welcome the wonderful views in, but this lovely lakeside setting is enjoyed twofold form the home’s outdoor living areas – the plain view, and from the home’s windows and doors of reflective acrylic that mirrors the trees and water.
A glass solarium echoes the roofline of the house, and is rotated 20 degrees from the main structure, creating a nook for a triangular lounge pool that abuts the house, and a lap pool which extends to the boathouse. Both inside and outside the house, rich Massaranduba Brazilian hardwood gives it a luxury look while maintaining the home’s earthy appeal.
