Matt Damon: Obama 'Broke Up With Me,' George Zimmerman Is 'A Novice' Obama Is Not That Bright. Barack Obama is the smartest man with the highest IQ ever to be elected to the presidency, historian Michael Beschloss told radio talk show host Don Imus in November of 2008. "So what is his IQ? " Mr. Imus asked. Mr. Beschloss didn't know. He was just assuming. Many shared that assumption. There is little evidence to support it. Mr. Many cite the president's oratorical skills, but he often rambles when he speaks without a teleprompter.

After voters in Colorado and Washington approved the legalization of marijuana last week, Justice Department spokeswoman Nanda Chitre declared that "the Department's enforcement of the Controlled Substances Act remains unchanged. " If so, the feds will treat state-legal sales of marijuana for recreational use the same way they have treated state-legal sales of marijuana for medical use: with periodic raids, threats of forfeiture and prosecution, and various other forms of harassment that fall far short of closing down all the cannabis outlets. But the Obama administration also could try to avoid that embarrassing outcome through litigation aimed at preventing Colorado and Washington from implementing their plans to license and regulate the production and sale of marijuana.

"There are provisions in both of the initiatives that unambiguously violate federal law,” claims Kevin Sabet, a former Obama administration drug policy adviser. What about collecting tax revenue from marijuana sales? Obamarule and the Killing of the Constitution of the United States - Gingrich Productions. Human Events June 20, 2012 Newt Gingrich If last Friday’s dictatorial action by President Obama is allowed to stand, historians may someday look back on June 15, 2012 as the day the Constitution died.

The rule of law has been replaced by Obamarule. The Founding Fathers designed the Constitution to limit the power of politicians. They had fought an eight year war against the tyranny of King George. Arbitrary personal decisions that allowed the King to pick winners and losers was a significant part of their grievance against the British Monarchy. They relied on Montesquieu’s theory of divided power to protect freedom and liberty from politicians. Now, in one bold move worthy of Cesar Chavez or Vladimir Putin, President Obama has added the role of Congress to that of president.

This may sound melodramatic, but that is only because of the cynicism and shallowness of the modern news media and modern politics. In truth, no one knows how many people will be covered by Obamarule. Your Friend, Newt. 5 things we learned from the presidential debate. Denver, Colorado (CNN) -- By most accounts, Republican challenger Mitt Romney was the clear winner of Wednesday's first debate with President Barack Obama.

Romney engaged the incumbent while Obama looked down at his lectern. The challenger was a more forceful debater while Obama appeared less than engaged. Here are five things we learned on Wednesday 1. Romney wins by setting the tone The crucial and tone-setting first 30 minutes of the debate belonged to Romney. President Barack Obama and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney finish their debate in Denver on Wednesday, October 3. Romney stands with his wife, Ann, and family following the first presidential debate. President Obama kisses first lady Michelle Obama after the debate Wednesday. Jim Leher of PBS moderates the 90-minute debate on Wednesday. Obama defended his record and challenged his rival's proposals.

Romney was more aggressive Wednesday in criticizing Obama's vision. Romney answers a question from the moderator. 2. 3. 4. Actress Stacey Dash Endorses Romney, Liberals Fling Racist Insults. In his speech to the Republican National Convention earlier this year, actor Clint Eastwood told the assembled crowd that there are more conservatives and moderates in Hollywood than they might think.

Such people “play closer to the vest. They do not go around hot dogging it,” Eastwood said. Unfortunately, actress Stacey Dash is finding out the hard way what happens to those celebrities who are willing to think for themselves: they get attacked by the very people who claim to preach “tolerance” and “peace.” (Note: This blog post is “not safe for work” and certainly not for children.)

The self-proclaimed merchants of tolerance were even more upset at the former Clueless star because she dares to back Mitt Romney even though she, like President Obama, is partially black. And of course, all black Americans must vote for Obama. It all started yesterday afternoon when Dash tweeted out the following message on her Twitter page, accompanied by a photo of herself with an American flag:

You Didn't Build That. Overview “You Didn’t Build That” is a quote uttered by President Barack Obama during his campaign speech in Roanoke, Virginia on July 13th, 2012. While it was intended to emphasize the role of government in fostering the growth of American businesses, the soundbite quickly disseminated across the conservative political blogosphere and spawned a bipartisan debate on income taxes and other economic policy issues.

Background On July 13th, 2012, President Obama gave a speech at a local fire station in Roanoke, Virginia, as part of his 2012 presidential re-election campaign. In taking direct aim at Mitt Romney’s ongoing Bain Capital controversy and expanding on his administration’s plan for higher taxes on the wealthy Americans, President Obama addressed the crowd: There are a lot of wealthy, successful Americans who agree with me -- because they want to give something back. Tanya Dixon-Nealy, a social-studies teacher at North Rowan High School in North Carolina, has been suspended with pay.

She was caught on tape berating a student, raising the possibility of arrest for the student’s suggestion that President Obama may have been a bully. The dispute began during a classroom discussion about an article the Washington Post had published regarding a reported bullying incident that presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney was involved in as a teenager. While discussing the Romney bullying allegations, a student raised the notion that Obama had also been a bully in high school. The teacher was quick to dismiss the student’s comments, saying that “there is no comparison” between the incumbent President Obama and his challenger, Romney. The teacher also states that the two candidates are “not equal”, and informed her class that people have been arrested for slandering the president.

Obamacare isn't the fix America needs. National Debt by President: LBJ to Obama. Correction: The original version of this article contained incorrect data for "days in office" that resulted in an error in the compound annual growth rate of the national debt during "partial term" presidencies. The figures have been corrected. NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- As Americans prepared to ring in the new year, their government was ringing up its largest national debt in history. On Dec. 31, 2010, the U.S. public debt passed $14,000,000,000,000 (that's $14 trillion).

On the last day of 2010, the U.S. public debt grew by more than $150 billion, putting the total figure above $14 trillion. Source: TreasuryDirect.gov For the average American earning an annual salary of $32,048, the number might be hard to fathom. The combined market capitalization of America's 10 largest companies: Exxon Mobil (XOM_), Apple (AAPL_), Microsoft (MSFT_), Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A_), GE (GE_), Wal-Mart (WMT_), Google (GOOG_), Chevron (CVX_), Procter & Gamble (PG_), and IBM (IBM_) is $2.25 trillion. Why is the left defending Obama?

The 2012 election is next Tuesday. We face a choice between Barack Obama, a candidate whose Presidency we can examine and evaluate, and Mitt Romney, who is a dangerous cipher. My argument – made last week in “Progressive Case Against Obama“, is that progressives should evaluate these risks honestly, with a clear-headed analysis of Obama’s track record. This piece sparked a massive debate that has had both Obama loyalists and Republicans resort to outlandish name-calling, evidently as a result of their unwillingness or inability to address the issues raised. .

It is remarkable to see the level to which Obama defenders have sunk. Let’s start with a basic problem – why is Obama in a tight race? Mitt Romney is more caricature than candidate, a horrifically cartoonish plutocrat whose campaign is staffed by people that allow secret tapings of obviously offensive statements. And the result is inequality in income gains that is higher than that under George W. The Resistance Effect. Disdain is the stain on Obama. So, WHAT’S to like? That question danced around my head during Monday night’s debate. Every time President Obama mocked, personally attacked and sneered at Mitt Romney, I kept wondering why so many Americans say they like Obama even as they don’t like his policies. How do you like a president who shows utter contempt for his opponent? How do you like a president who responds to criticism of his record with a snide blast at his opponent’s personal wealth?

The questions would be easier to answer if the debate were an exception. But it wasn’t. Numerous reports from the White House recently have Obama openly expressing raw “disdain” for Romney. Worse, the Romney treatment is no exception, either. It’s odd behavior for a president, or anybody in public life. Is presidential politics more blood sport than the NFL? The issue is not academic, with most polls showing Obama enjoying a big margin on “likability.” Repeat: “He really doesn’t like people.” But let’s give Obama his greatest due. Trump Says The Way President Obama Is Running The Country Is "Stupid" The United States could soon become a large-scale Spain or Greece, teetering on the edge of financial ruin. That’s according to Donald Trump, who painted a very ugly picture of where this country is headed under its current leadership. Trump made the comments during a recent appearance on Fox News’ “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren.” According to Trump, the United States is no longer a rich country.

“When you’re not rich, you have to go out and borrow money. It’s clear that Trump holds President Barack Obama responsible for the ballooning debt. He goes on to point out that the downgrade of U.S. debt is inevitable. “We are going up to $16 trillion [in debt] very soon, and it’s going to be a lot higher than that before he gets finished. Ballooning debt and a credit downgrade aren’t Trump’s only worries for this country. “Right now, frankly, the country isn’t doing well,” Trump added, “Recession may be a nice word.” Editor’s Note: See the disturbing interview with Wiedemer.

How 'Pro-Choice' are Democrats? Tell Obama to Cease FDA Ties to Monsanto. President Obama, I oppose your appointment of Michael Taylor, a former VP and lobbyist for Monsanto, the widely criticized genetically modified (GM) food multinational, as senior advisor to the commissioner at the FDA. Taylor is the same person who as a high-ranking official at the FDA in the 1990s promoted allowing genetically modified organisms into the U.S. food supply without undergoing a single test to determine their safety or risks.

This is a travesty. Taylor was in charge of policy for Monsanto's now-discredited GM bovine growth hormone (rBGH), which is opposed by many medical and hospital organizations. It was Michael Taylor who pursued a policy that milk from rBGH-treated cows should not be labeled with disclosures. Michael Taylor and Monsanto do not belong in our government. FDA scientists once regarded genetic modification of the food supply as the single most radical and potentially dangerous threat to public health in history. Attack of the drones. May 13, 2012 - 12:00 AM If you thought "1984" sounded bad, look overhead. Congress quietly passed a new law in February that could result in as many as 30,000 unmanned drones plying nation's skies by 2020. The measure was part of the FAA Reauthorization Act, which President Obama just as quietly signed.

A component of the bill calls for the Federal Aviation Administration to develop regulations testing and licensing commercial drones by 2015. Government doesn't even have rules in place, yet our elected officials passed a bill that will increase public and private electronic surveillance of just about anybody, anywhere, anytime? Privacy advocacy groups are rightly concerned about the implications of drones that will be deployed by both government agencies and private companies. Just stop and think how useful drones will be to police.

Currently, the FAA authorizes drone use on a case-by-case basis. Sure, there are good domestic uses for drones.
