The annual Apple Keynote took place yesterday in San Francisco- on a surprisingly sunny day for such a foggy place. Perhaps developers really can do anything. The hype up to the keynote was filled with skepticism- how could Tim Cook possibly live up to the standards of the late CEO, Steve Jobs? What will they release this year? Will Apple continue on its path as the leader of innovation and technology?

Yes and no. The keynote exceeded the expectations that developers had set for Tim Cook- he was passionate and entertaining, and revealed many exciting product adaptations and upgrades. Although interesting and innovative there was nothing breakthrough, no surprises. Nearly all attendees were excited by the ‘new generation’ Macbook Pro which offers a 15-inch retina display and almost 7 hours of battery life, but what they really wanted to see was the ‘would-be’ advancements to Siri.
