Anastasiy has released MagicPicker 4.0: an update to its colour-picking tool for Photoshop and Illustrator.
The plugin, used by artists at Disney, Marvel and Blizzard, adds a traditional colour wheel to its host application’s interface. Version 4.0 of the software introduces a new colour temperature wheel, making it easy to pick only warm or cool hues; and updates the Tone Lock option, which preserves gamma while changing hue or saturation. When you drag a file over the app window, refBoard checks the file's extension, and Windows checks refBoard's privilege level. The slashed circle indicates one of those checks is coming back negative. The app's extension check should be fine since it's working on some systems (otherwise it wouldn't work at all) so I think the problem is that refBoard's privilege level doesn't match that of Windows Explorer. (Windows doesn't allow applications with different privilege levels to communicate like that.)
