Nutcase Ring. A nutcase that fits my finger found in the garagego to your hardware store and try some nutcases as a ring until you find the one that fits(and yes people will look at you with a funny face thinking you're crazy) un semplice bullone da cui partire come anellopotete trovarne uno simile in ferramenta, provatene qualcuno fino a trovarne uno che vi va come anello (non fate caso a chi vi guarda con una faccia strana per quello che state facendo) i've added some mirrors over the surfacethen i've covered half of the thick border with big glitters, this way i'm able to wear the ring in two ways:with the "naked" surface or showing glitters ho aggiunto degli specchietti sulla superficie e poi decorato con dei glitter metà della superficie laterale in modo da poter scegliere se indossarlo mostrando la superficie "nuda" o quella con i glitter Since i really liked Maison Martin Margiela hardware jewelry i decided to make my own version of it.
Brandy Melville-Rings :) Welcome to Brandy Melville USA. Super Simple Ring. Tweet! When I say super simple I mean…. super simple… as in, I am almost embarrassed to do a tutorial on it Almost, but not quite! Maybe there are some of you out there like me that like things that look impressive but were actually easy.. I am a fairly recent convert to costume jewelry, but, as with every thing in my life, I jumped in with both feet. So when I discovered I could make my own I was very excited!
I can be fickle in my tastes in colors and styles, and I feel alot less guilty about casting aside something that was only a couple of bucks to begin with. So – with that – here you go! I started with some buttons.. We will be ignoring the butterfly ones for now – they will be featured in an upcoming post. I pulled out my handy E6000 adhesive that I used on my first ring making experience The Secret Life Of A Crafting Blogger And one of the ring backs that I got from Ebay. ( please excuse the purple hands – I am firing the photographer as I type this..) Then pressed the button into the glue. New Ring Designs. November 24th, 2010 A while ago I bought lots of antique silver spoon sets when we visited Colin’s sister Morag and her family over the summer as they live near Spoon Central – a little village called Horncastle that is full to the brim with small antique shops.
As I’ve been without my camera for what seems like months, I’ve not been able to photograph any of my ‘work in progress’ for a while. I have been busy, just not really been able to blog about it. Well my camera arrived back from the lab all shiny and new the other day and so today I spent some time taking images of the new rings I’ve made from the spoons I bought over the summer. So here are a few shots of my new rings – in spoon format and then transformed into things of beauty for someone special… This is a shot of all the spoons prior to sanding, filing and polishing.
Before and after shots of set 1 This set of spoons has a lovely pattern on the upper side and on the under side so I made two different rings. What do you think?
