Free Purse Tutorials | Free Purse, Bag & Tote Patterns and Tutorials. Product Detail. Tutorial: Diaper Bag with Elastic Pocket. A few people asked for an elastic pocket tutorial when I posted my last diaper bag. VIDEO TUTORIAL - How to Use a Clover Quick Yo Yo Maker This is an absolute must-read for anyone embarking on bag-making! ALWAYS use interfacing on any bag piece where the pattern reads "cut [specified number] i/f". Interfacing creates structure if it is used on the body of the bag - but is entirely optional here, and using it depends on the weight of the fabric and the finished look that you require.

By fusing interfacing to every piece of the outside of the bag you'll add a lot more structure and "OOMPH" to the fabric. You can interface the lining if you want a stiff lining, but it shouldn't be the main support in the bag. It's important to remember that by adding an extra layer of interfacing to a bag piece, you are also increasing the bulk of the fabric. Zippered Laptop Sleeve Tutorial. In case you missed it during the Holiday Bake, Craft, & Sew Along, here’s my tutorial for a zippered laptop sleeve. Since it’s measurement based, you could adapt it to fit an iPad or other electronic gadget, too. Position on the front of your laptop sleeve and stitch in place along both edges. Cut a strip of fabric 3” high by at least twice the width of your laptop case. Run a long gathering stitch (do not backstitch) about 1/4” in along both long edges. (I made the decorative flower using these directions on WiseCraft. Pin the zipper in place in the center. The meaning of color when branding your fashion label « Branding Advice for the Fashion Business. October 8, 2010 by Giannina Silverman Let’s face it. Everyone has a favorite color. As in, what color palette best exemplifies the feeling and psychology of your brand? A well-written brand strategy can help you execute the appropriate color palette for your brand. Consider some following commonly-held assumptions about color: • Black: depending on the other brand elements it’s paired with, it can be swing from upscale and chic, to modern, and even edgy or goth • Red: vixenish, vampy, but can also be classic all-American; believed to be good luck in China • Pink: youthful, girlish • Blue: light to medium shades can come across as casual and relaxing, while darker shades speak of a conservative approach • Green: clichéd as the color of the Eco movement Like this: Like Loading...
