http://www.psfk.com/2011/04/coca-colas-recycled-pop-up-store.html During the Passover holiday, Coca-Cola Israel launched its unique pop-up store for recycled products. In a central location in Tel Aviv, the Israeli marketing agency, Promarke t created the concept and decided it would be an appropriate time for increasing awareness around environmental renewal and sustainability. Visitors are encouraged to bring empty cans and bottles to the store where they can view the process that the products undergo, and the several options for repurposing them. The shop’s main objective, as a retail tie-in to Coca Cola Israel’s “Give It Back” campaign is to educate the public about the benefits of recycling through upcycled design.

ca-Cola secret recipe revealed? It's the real thing, says radio host | Business | guardian.co.uk

Has Coca-Cola's secret recipe been let out of the bottle? Photograph: Christian Hartmann/Reuters For almost 125 years, the secrecy surrounding the recipe for Coca-Cola has been one of the world's great marketing ploys. As the story goes, the fizzy drink's famous "Merchandise 7X" flavourings have remained unchanged since they were concocted in 1886 and the recipe is today entrusted only to two Coke executives, neither of whom can travel on the same plane for fear the secret goes down with them. http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2011/feb/16/coca-cola-secret-recipe-discovered

Coca-Cola GB launches safe driving campaign

Coca-Cola Great Britain will be rewarding drivers who choose not to drink on a night out with a ‘buy one, get one free’ Coca-Cola or Diet Coke over the festive period. Celebrating its second year, the ‘Designated Driver’ campaign is part of Coca-Cola Great Britain’s pledge to promote the positive role that soft drinks can play as credible alternatives to alcohol. The campaign runs from 1 December 2009 to 2 January 2010 in more than 8 , 000 bars nationwide, backed by an extensive marketing programme as part of Coca-Cola Great Britain’s Christmas ‘Gift of Giving’ initiative. The promotion will be launched through a national PR campaign with the original Stig (aka Perry McCarthy). He’ll be making pit stops at bars and clubs around the country, where he’ll be waving a green flag to get the safe drinking campaign on the road.
http://adage.com/article/mediaworks/coke-pepsi-max-media-plan-worked/146884/ Coke and Pepsi's rivalry is the stuff of legend in the ad business. They vigorously compete for share of voice, share of heart and share of throat. In the case of Coke Zero and Pepsi Max, these beverage giants are chasing a burgeoning market of men who apparently aren't man enough to own up to drinking a soda marked "diet." Coke Zero launched five years ago and commands a healthy lead in sales. Pepsi, however, launched a new positioning over the summer. Communicating to Gen Y males -- or MenY's (I wonder if I can trademark that) -- who are notoriously light TV viewers and generally difficult to reach presents an interesting challenge.
