Free Crochet Pattern: Dragonfly Poncho Child/Adult

I’ve been watching all the posts on the Caron Yarn Cake and I was determined not to get bit by the bug, but alas, I was in Michael’s one day and they were lined up, and so pretty, and one just flew into my basket! What was I to do? These are actually really neat cakes with many color combinations. The yarn is worsted weight and pleasant to work with. The dragonfly poncho was actually inspired by a special request. . ~ Don’t lose it, add It To Your Ravelry Queue Or Favorites ~ ~ And don’t forget to Pin It Too ~ * Purchase an ad-free PDF of this pattern on Craftsy or Ravelry* Find all my FREE crochet patterns HERE This post contains affiliate links.

Simple Knitted Shrug – marni made it

Not that I take Barre classes, but I know someone who does and she suggested a simple something to be worn before you get warm in class. This would even be good for a yoga class. For those of us who get chillier than others in a big room before the workout begins. Urbanfarmwife's Lehigh Shawl. I was running out of the main color so I bound off after the last 26-row, 3-rows-of-bud-stitches repeat plus 4 rows of the main color.

There’s no way I could have finished the shawl with the called-for amount of yarn. This turned out to be a good thing because… Considering I bound off 26 rows before the pattern called for it AND I got gauge AND my shawl is the size of the expected dimensions, someone’s math is off somewhere. Bottom line: I like the size of it so I’m glad I was on track to run out of yarn. 11/27/16 Finished knitting, ends woven, and tassels made.

'Spring' Elements (Shawl Recipe) Easy Weekend Shrug. This knits up in a jiffy to produce a cozy, thick shrug to keep the winter chills from your shoulders.

Easy Weekend Shrug

I did this over the weekend - hence the name - although the actual concept, measuring, guage, trial and errors of designing and write up took much longer! :-) Looks great with casual jeans over a tank top / cami as shown, but would also look well in a more sophisticated yarn to dress it up a little with a dress. Or how about in a pastel shade with fur effect yarn to make the collar for a wedding? Make a great gift for teens upwards. Azzu's Shawl pattern by Emma Fassio

One afternoon I was talking to my dear friend Azzuka about shawls, while knitting the Mormor’s Shawl Kal, and she was telling me about some mods she wanted to make in order to have a long and slim shawl that she could twist around her neck and still make a knot in the front, something that is perfect with a coat during the winter and stylish and trendy in spring time on a jeans jacket.

And here it is, I designed the Azzu’s Shawl and I must say that she was right: now that spring has arrived it is just wonderful to wear it. And it gives that special touch. Thank you for the inspiration:) And thank you to kuaikuai for preparing a helpful worksheet for the pattern:) Thank you to milimani for the German translation:) Thank you to windnight for her Russian translation:) This is a top-down shawl, worked from the top center back outward.
