MSQC Tutorial - Freestyle Churndash Quilt. The Quartered Stripes Quilt. The Story of Us on Turning Point. Sunnyside Diamond Zig-Zag Quilt. Hi, I’m Janice Ryan and I blog about quilting and sewing at Better Off Thread. I am really excited to be sharing my very first Bake Shop Recipe with you today. My sister and I both learned the joy of creating handmade items from my mom. Whether it was doll clothing, Halloween costumes, christmas cookies or homemade playdough, I have very fond memories of crafting with my family.

I am now the family quilter and my sister, Judy, is the knitter/crocheter. 1 Jelly Roll- Sunnyside by Kate Spain 2 yards background fabric- Moda Bella in White 4 yards backing fabric Please read all instructions prior to making this quilt! Step 1: Make Diamond Panels Separate your jelly roll into 4 sets of 9 strips each. My sets were made up of the colors listed below: Take your first set of 9 strips and sew them together into 3 sets of 3 (arrange them in the same order as the diagram above.) Tip: lightly starch your strip sets to keep them from stretching once they are cut on the bias. Step 2: Cutting Background.

Sweetly Stitched Handmades Quilt Book Amy Sinibaldi. Tutorial-098 Floating Hexagons. Tutorial-082 Half Hexi Applique. Jellied Lone Star Quilt. This is my very first Moda Bake Shop design and I’m so excited to bring it to you. Inspired by the lone star block tutorial at the Hopeful Homemaker and modified to use the oh-so-popular jelly roll, it’s a great way to bring a contemporary spin on such a traditional quilt design! I used the delicious Feed Company by Sweetwater for this quilt with the tone on tone white gingham for the background. I’ll warn you, this is not necessarily a quick quilt. But, by taking your time through the steps you’ll end up with a stunning lone star without fussing with 200 little diamonds and no y-seams! This pattern yields a quilt that is 59″ x 59″ but would be a great quilt to customize with borders to to make it just the size you need. 1 Jelly Roll of Feed Company by Sweetwater3 yards Feed Company Vanilla (5575 14) for the background1 yd for Feed Company Black (5572 13) for binding4 yards Feed Company Splash (5576 12) for backing Tools Separate 25 jelly roll strips into by the following colors Part 1 Part 2.
