DIY Baby Bibs

Lately, my go-to baby shower handmade gift has been burp cloths. While spending the weekend with my best friend and her twin baby boys, I was reminded just how important and useful bibs are! So I decided to add some colorful bibs to the burp cloths for the perfect shower gift! I wanted to make the bibs comfy for the babies, but also stylish. I use terry cloth fabric as the back side of the bib and 100% soft cotton woven fabric for the front. Read more for the full tutorial. Teacher Forces Her Shy Classmate In Front Of The Class. What He Does? OMG! If you’ve ever seen the movie The King’s Speech, you remember the incredible feeling at the end when the King finally overcame the debilitating speech impediment he suffered from since he was a boy.

Teacher Forces Her Shy Classmate In Front Of The Class. What He Does? OMG!

Musharaf Asghar is no King, he is just a young man who has suffered his entire life, like the king, with a terrible stutter. In this heartwarming video, Mushy’s teacher uses the same method as in the movie – using music to overcome anxiety – to help Mushy speak. For this man, even getting a few words out felt impossible, but once he started getting the hang of it, there was no stopping him.

The most beautiful part is when Mushy speaks in front of his entire classroom, to the same kids who have bullied him for his disability, and finally shows them he can shine. There were tears and there were cheers, but all that matters is how proud Mushy is of himself. What a beautiful video! What Students Remember Most About Teachers. Dear Young Teacher Down the Hall, I saw you as you rushed past me in the lunch room.

What Students Remember Most About Teachers

Urgent. In a hurry to catch a bite before the final bell would ring calling all the students back inside. I noticed that your eyes showed tension. There were faint creases in your forehead. “Oh, fine,” you replied. But I knew it was anything but fine. You told me how busy you were, how much there was to do. I told you to remember that at the end of the day, it’s not about the lesson plan. And as I looked at you there wearing all that worry under all that strain, I said it’s about being there for your kids. No, they’ll not remember that amazing decor you’ve designed. But they will remember you. Your kindness. Because at the end of the day, what really matters is YOU. You are that difference in their lives. Because we want our students to think we’re the very best at what we do and we believe that this status of excellence is achieved merely by doing.

Being available. Right where you are, just as you are. What Little Girls Wish Daddies Knew. I’m spending the morning waiting for my car in the repair shop.

What Little Girls Wish Daddies Knew

Four men in flannel (I missed the flannel memo) and I sit around smelling tires and inhaling exhaust fumes while an enchanting little fairy is in constant motion around her daddy. She climbs on him, giggles, turns around, and then she’s back to twirling on the tile. She’s bouncing and spinning around in her pink frilly skirt. Her black cable knit tights are sagging around her tiny knees, and her puffy coat makes her arms stand out further than is natural. To top off the ensemble is a shiny crystal tiara. She’s probably four years old. So, to all the daddies with little girls who aren’t old enough yet to ask for what they need from you, here is what we wish you knew:
