We Heart This - cause chicks love stuff

http://weheartthis.com/ photos: we heart this Did you ever have a product come out that was so perfectly “you” that you swore someone read your mind (or at very least, your journal)? Milani Illuminating Face Powder is just such product for me. Amber Nectar The graphic designer in me LOVES the embossing.

Popped by AA while in Berlin (I swear it’s psychological, the need to visit ZARA even if you’re in the middle of a desert) – they were handing out free pots of stockroom Nail Lacquer with every purchase. Score! Finally, the season of roll-ups and light-coloured denim! Would love to give it a good slashing session a la Acne or do this again. http://www.parkandcube.com/

PARK & CUBE

http://www.parkandcube.com/category/diy/ Wo, look at me chuck out posts like a hen with a Tesco egg delivery deadline, have you ever seen me this diligent?… …that’s a no then. Now if only I could sling this spurt of energy at something constructive… I think I’ll go install Sims 3, the dishes and laundry can do themselves – we’re in the 21st Century afterall, no?

I don’t know why I never posted this! I just found it in my Drafts and I can’t remember why I never clicked “publish”. It is giving me serious nostalgia – I miss our light-filled house on Port Lavaca Bay. I miss being only 2 hours away from my family & friends rather than 3.5 hours. I miss my long mermaid-rapunzel hair. http://dirtyhems.com/

Photo: ISpyDIY.com I'd like to send out a HUGE congratulations to the lovely Jenni of I Spy DIY. Her book, I Spy DIY Style , dropped yesterday - April 17. I would have posted this then, but I've been having some strange log in problems with Blogger. (It seems to be all figured out now, though!)

Dream & Dress

Hope everyone had a nice weekend! I spend the majority of it—probably like most of you—busy with holiday preparations, which of course included wrapping lots of gifts! Like last year , I decided to forgo traditional store-bought paper in favor of my own handmade rendition .

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I spent Saturday filming an upcoming co mmercial for the Game Show Network's , "The World Needs More Winners" campaign , telling my story about my Wheel of Fortune experience. It was an amazing opportunity, filled with lots of creative and interesting shots, I can't wait to see how it turns out! A lot of the footage focused on my Bucket List, and the traveling I'm planning to do once I receive my winnings!

On a daily basis, and for everyday wear, I generally opt for lip gloss over lipstick. Lipstick is just too much fuss for me and I'll inevitably get it on my cheek without even knowing it and walk around looking like a clown for the remainder of the day. I will wear it on occasion though, for my husband, for Halloween , or to give an outfit post a pop of color, but I generally feel self-conscious with it on. I also would rather play up my eyes and have them be the focus of my face rather than my lips/mouth area. I've been wearing Lip Fusion lip gloss {in sweet & bare} for at least 5 years now and still love it. It doesn't "plump" as they say it does but I don't mind the flavor and like the way it "wears", which is important to me.
