» A Forest Christian Löffler. Christian Löffler stays in the forest with his debut album. After the single „Aspen“, which is named after a certain kind of tree that is typical for his home region in the north of Germany, he now comes along with a full length Album called „A Forest“. The closeness to nature in Löffler’s work is more than just an escape from the urban world. For the time he produced the album, Christian lived in a small house near Usedom. There was not much more than a room and a window with a view into the forest. A very new aspect in Christian’s work on this album is the use of vocals.
Another special piece on „A Forest“ is also definitely „Swift Code“, on which Christian works together with the lyricist and poet Marcus Roloff. The cover was also made by Christian Löffler, who also works as an artist on paintings and photography.
Enigma (musical project) From the late 1970s onward, Michael Cretu already had his own music career on his hands and apart from some collaboration efforts with several other musicians, he also produced his wife's albums. Before Enigma, he released a number of albums under his own name, but none of them sold particularly well. Cretu revealed in an interview that he believed that his ideas were running out at that point. Before the album was released, Cretu was cautious of the response towards the upcoming album, decided to forgo mentioning his and most of the personnel's real names and credited himself as Curly M.C., while the album sleeve contained little information about the background of the project, furthering the mystery about the creators of the album and leading to speculation whether Enigma was a band, a person or a group.
