Truth be told, this is the closest I've ever gotten to a college graduation. Today I want to tell you three stories from my life.
That's it. The first story is about connecting the dots. I dropped out of Reed College after the first 6 months, but then stayed around as a drop-in for another 18 months or so before I really quit. It started before I was born. And 17 years later I did go to college. It wasn't all romantic. Reed College at that time offered perhaps the best calligraphy instruction in the country.

Unfortunately, this powerful technique is seldom used because we are continually focused on ourselves and not others. We put our wants and needs before the wants and needs of others. The irony is that people will fulfill your wants and needs in any way they can if they like you. The simple communication techniques that follow will help you keep the focus of the conversation on the person you are talking to and make them feel good about themselves.
