The locations for my photography vary from hotels to restaurants as many of my clients are preferring lifestyle photography. Food and drink photography has become a large part of my portfolio and is in fact one of my most enjoyable. Not just because I get too eat the subject matter , although it does help 😉 An extremely important part for any food and drink photographer is the food stylist because without them and there preparation the shot is only half done. Similar to that of fashion photography its the team that makes the shot I can’t take all the credit … Although I do like too 😉 … I mentioned how my food photography is indeed a large part of my work and to reflect this I’ve created a section solely for this, have a look at my Food Photography section on the website. Au mois de mai dernier, La Redoute Intérieurs a proposé un irrésistible défi déco à Joli Place.
Le sujet ? Créer un salon à la décoration scandinave dans une pièce de trois mètres sur quatre entièrement blanche, à aménager du sol au plafond en puisant dans le catalogue de la marque. Après avoir préparé une planche d’inspiration et une pré-sélection de meubles et objets déco, direction le siège de La Redoute à Roubaix pour la journée. En arrivant, on entre dans un immense bâtiment qui s’avère être une vraie caverne d’Ali Baba. Au rez-de-chaussée, une partie du lieu est aménagée en studio photo et, dans l’autre, l’ensemble de la collection de la marque est à disposition. La planche d’inspiration traduit ce qui vient en tête lorsque l’on imagine la déco d’une pièce : elle est le reflet de l’imaginaire lié à la thématique choisie et dépend donc beaucoup de votre sensibilité et de votre personnalité. Naturally, this complex has not remained immutable — over time, photography acquired the ability to achieve special textural and compositional effects that brought photographs and painted works closer together. A special term was even invented, ‘pictorealism’ which stressed this convergence and there has been a recognised blurring of the borders between the photograph and the painting.
