Centrum Nowych Technologii "Ochota" Projekt "Centrum Nowych Technologii 'OCHOTA' Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego" jest współfinansowany ze środków unijnych Europejskiego Funduszu Rozwoju Regionalnego w ramach Programu Infrastruktura i Środowisko, lata 2007-2013, Priorytet XIII. Infrastruktura szkolnictwa wyższego, Działanie 13.1. Projekt obejmuje budowę oraz podstawowe wyposażenie kompleksu dwóch nowoczesnych obiektów (budynek CeNT I oraz CeNT II) przeznaczonych do prowadzenia działalności edukacyjnej oraz powiązanej z nią działalności naukowej, w dziedzinach biotechnologii, technologii informatycznych i informacyjnych, fizyki oraz technologii materiałowych. Budynki o łącznej powierzchni całkowitej 50 126,70 m2 (powierzchnia użytkowa 41 532,49 m2), zostaną wzniesione na terenie Kampusu Ochota Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego. W ramach projektu zakupione zostanie również niezbędne wyposażenie oraz aparatura. . - wytworzenie nowoczesnej infrastruktury dydaktycznej; - zaangażowanie wysoko wykwalifikowanej kadry dydaktyczno-naukowej;

Postdoc Systems/Computational Biology (open) | 2011 | Jobs | Systems-Biology. In the frame of multiple systems biological projects funded by the German Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF: MEDSYS, FORSYS, Virtual Liver, GerontoSys) the Hamamatsu TIGA (Tissue Imaging and Analysis) Center of the University Hospital Heidelberg is looking for a PostDoc Systems Biology / Computational Biology: Biological Networks & Simulation. You will work in close collaboration with multiple research groups of the University Hospital (e.g. National Center for Tumor Diseases), German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) on multiple clinically relevant questions. Goal of the work is the development of algorithms for building logical and qualitative networks from existing biological databases of regulatory interactions, which will be used for interpreting experimental high-throughput data from our own lab or partners.

Logical or qualitative reasoning and simulation approaches will be used for deriving predictions from the networks. Your application should contain a) a detailed CV PD Dr. List of systems biology research groups. Systems biology is a relatively new biological study field that focuses on the systematic study of complex interactions in biological systems, thus using a new perspective (integration instead of reduction) to study them. Particularly from year 2000 onwards, the term is used widely in the biosciences, and in a variety of contexts. Because the scientific method has been used primarily toward reductionism, one of the goals of systems biology is to discover new emergent properties that may arise from the systemic view used by this discipline in order to understand better the entirety of processes that happen in a biological system. The following List of Systems Biology Research Groups gives an overview of research groups in the field of systems biology.

They are therefore peer-reviewed - in general by foreign experts - and launched for a 4-year period. Led by a science officer, large-scale initiatives are formalised around a specific research issue, with a predefined programme and objectives. They call on the combined "brain power" of all researchers in Inria's various project teams, as well as the intellectual resources of academic or industrial partners. Large-scale initiatives allow researchers to organise their work around major issues the Institute wants to concentrate on.

Join us PhD and postdoctoral positions will be advertised here but we also welcome visits and electronic applications for positions that might come up in the near future.

The Department of Systems Biology & Bioinformatics provides a vibrant research environment, with extensive experience in interdisciplinary collaborations, covering a wide range of methodologies and technologies. The group moved in July 2009 into a new building and provides excellent facilities. The University of Rostock, founded in 1419, is one of the oldest in Europe.

Rostock is located in the north-east of Germany with road and train connections to Berlin and Hamburg, as well short ferry links to Denmark, Sweden and other Baltic states. The minimum duration of a visit should be two months and the contract requires that the applicant has already a degree.
