White Chocolate and Nutella Truffles. I love truffles all year round but there is something kind of holiday-ish about them. (I'm pretty sure "holiday-ish" is not a word. At all.) My friends, Nathan and Jennie, used to make these amazing Oreo truffles every Christmas. I loved getting a little container of Oreo truffles from them! White Chocolate and Nutella Truffles, makes 15-18 7 ounces dark chocolate1 tablespoon butter1/4 cup heavy whipping cream1/3 cup Nutella2 cups white chocolate chips1 tablespoon oil (I used vegetable)chocolate sprinkles (optional) In a double boiler (or a glass bowl set over simmering water) melt together the first four ingredients.

Use a melon baller or spoon to form small balls. In the mean time, melt the white chocolate and oil in a microwave safe bowl. Add the chocolate sprinkles as you work, before the white chocolate has time to set. Accordion Potatoes with Rosemary and Garlic. Potatoes are an absolute must when planning for Friendsgiving (or Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner or whatever you celebrate). Not only are potatoes filling and delicious, but they are also naturally gluten free. I'm not (yet) very experienced with gluten free baking/cooking, but I did want to include a starchy alternative to the rolls I was also serving.

I love these accordion potatoes (also called hasselback)! They are a more crispy version of a baked potato. Plus they are super pretty. Accordion Potatoes with Rosemary and Garlic Needed: potatoes (I made 10 total and used a smaller size variety. First wash and dry your potatoes, removing any dirt. DIY Light Up Headboard. Today we are teaming up with Valspar and their Love Your Color Guarantee to share our latest addition to Elsie’s guest bedroom: a light up headboard! We wanted to create something unique and playful for this room in her home. We were inspired by marquee signs and wanted to create that feeling but in our own homemade way. We’re not exactly master craftsmen, so we kept our design simple and enlisted a little help from our dad. Here’s what we did: First we built a headboard.

We wanted a tall but simple headboard that could also hide electrical work behind it (for the lights). We used six thin planks about the same length as the bed. Next we used a projector to trace the word onto the bedframe. Next we planned where to add all the holes for the lights to shine through. Now drill your holes. Once you have drilled all the holes sand and clean off the surface of the headboard. Once your paint is dry, it’s time to add the lights! We just love how this headboard project turned out! Make Your Own Braided Rug. Nutella Cinnamon Rolls. As you can probably guess I am an avid reader of MANY food blogs. I love them! And right now most of my favorite food bloggers are posting about healthy recipes. I think the sentiment is, "we ate too much for Thanksgiving so let's take a break and make something light this week.

" Which totally makes sense. I think that is how any sane person would feel. Let me explain. I always make cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning. Nutella Cinnamon Rolls, makes 10-12 3 tablespoons warm water3 tablespoons sugar2 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast1/2 cup (1 stick) butter1 cup milk (I used whole, but any kind is fine)2 cups bread flour1 teaspoon salt1 1/3 cup flour1 cup Nutella3-4 teaspoons cinnamon In a small bowl stir together the water and sugar. In a small pot melt the butter. In the bowl of your mixer (or just a large bowl) combine the flours and salt. Roll dough out into a large rectangle.

I also made a simple glaze out of melted butter and powered sugar.
