my kids and I have undergone some serious life changes in the last year or so. there are four of them, only one got to get drug through the dirt tight along with me every step of the way, when we experienced homelessness for nearly three years. our family was torn apart literally, and miraculously has been being patched back together in the last few months. we even got a new dog, something i never had as a child or an adult for that matter. a new home, and its all after the hardest most challenging few years of my life. patience, tenacity, and the ability to laugh at myself harvested an award far greater than i had ever anticipated. now i am whole again, maybe not ecstatic constantly, but content for sure.
