Qatar Museums Authority will host a large-scale exhibition by iconic Japanese artist and founder of the Superflat movement Takashi Murakami at the Museum of Islamic Art from February 9 to June 24, 2012. Curated by Massimiliano Gioni, this exhibition dubbed “Murakami – Ego” will feature more than 60 works from 1997 to the present, alongside several new works that are particularly created for this significant show. Additionally, a few of Murakami’s most celebrated series will be presented in their entirety for the first time, which includes Kaikai Kiki Lots of Faces and Pom and Me .
