Prochainement, France Culture innove et met en ligne France Culture Plus (francecultureplus.fr), un nouveau webmédia étudiant, le lieu de rendez-vous des amphis et des campus. A cette occasion, France Culture Plus lance la première édition d’un concours de création sonore auprès de tous les étudiants, en partenariat avec Radio Campus France.
Les 25 Radios Campus sont des espaces d'accueil et de diffusion pour toutes les formes d'expérimentations sonores. Pour rencontrer vous aussi d'autres jeunes créateurs, rendez-vous à tout moment dans la Radio Campus la plus proche de chez vous ! Call for entriesDeadline: 7 October 2012 CALL for interactive sound compositions for a door installation at the ZKM, Karlsruhe We invite musicians, sound artists and engineers to program sound compositions for the interactive installation “Sounding Door,” an electronic installation designed to turn a door into a musical instrument and a stage at once.
Selected sound pieces will be included in the playlist of the door “concerts” taking place at the entrance of the Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe (ZKM), and will become a part of the museum’s permanent collection. DEADLINE 7 October 2012 Composition should be programmed to interact with one or all of the motional features of a door, that is, its position, direction, speed and acceleration. Preferable format is MAX patch. “Sounding Door” uses a special sensor for monitoring the door motional parameters and feeds the data to a custom programmed MAX/MSP environment. Harvestworks in partnership with The Industrial and Technology Assistance Corporation (ITAC) provides an opportunity for artists to create new works of art, further develop their creative tool set, and benefit from the advisory and professional services of ITAC to reach a marketplace looking for innovative approaches to new technology. Up to ten artists will be awarded $7500 to produce, document, and present a new artwork.
This two-year project is supported by The Rockefeller Foundation’s New York City Cultural Innovation Fund.
